About MyWorkingArea
Useful tools, visible limitations and results you can verify
MyWorkingArea is an online utility service for PDF, image and everyday digital tasks. Its purpose is not to publish as many pages as possible, but to pair a specific function with the information needed to use it responsibly.
What we do
- Each workspace is designed around a specific operation: arranging pages, selecting ranges, controlling quality, setting dimensions or building a valid QR payload.
- File tools create a new result without overwriting the source. Utilities that run in the browser are identified as local; those that require remote processing are identified as server operations.
- The public catalogue includes test utilities for identifiers, IBANs and cards with visible warnings, synthetic output and a prohibition on real or fraudulent use. Only tools with a specific reviewed guide are promoted as standalone editorial pages.
How a guide is reviewed
1. Actual behaviour
We check visible options and the implementation that produces the result, including formats, ranges, limits and download names.
2. Changes to the file
We document whether an operation copies pages, renders pixels, re-encodes, encrypts or removes fields.
3. Risks and limitations
We add commonly missed effects such as invalidated signatures, loss of selectable text or QR destinations that depend on third parties.
4. User verification
We provide concrete checks to complete before deleting a source, printing or sharing a result.
Updates and corrections
Guides display their review date. When an option or processor changes, its content must be reviewed alongside the feature. If you find an inaccurate statement, an output that does not match the description or an incomplete explanation, please report it through the contact form.
How the service is funded
Tools are currently available without charge. MyWorkingArea may show Google advertising only on tool pages with specific reviewed content. Ads are not enabled on the catalogue, sign-in pages, account area, legal forms or tools awaiting editorial review. Advertising must remain labelled and separate from upload, process and download controls. Advertisers do not pay to be included in guides and do not decide which tools are featured or how their results are explained.
Operational privacy by design
Files are used to perform the selected action and handled under the temporary-file policy. They are not used as a public library or as editorial material. We recommend never uploading the only copy, always retaining the source and checking whether a document contains particularly sensitive data.
