Reviewed practical guide

How to make an ordered PDF from a set of images

Prepare photographs or scans, arrange their sequence and understand how each image becomes a page.

Images to PDF accepts PNG and JPEG files and creates one page for each image. The workspace order becomes the final page order. Every page takes the pixel dimensions of its image, so sources with different sizes or aspect ratios can produce visibly uneven pages.

The image is embedded as visual content; the tool does not run OCR or create selectable text. Before converting photos of documents, straighten them, crop unwanted borders and confirm that the text remains readable at the intended viewing size.

What result to expect

You will download “imagenes.pdf” with one page per file in exactly the visible sequence.

When this is useful

  • Collect photographs of receipts or evidence into one attachment.
  • Turn numbered illustrations or plates into a document that is easy to share.
  • Combine scans captured separately on a phone.

Checks before sharing

  • Use consistent orientation so readers do not have to rotate their device on every page.
  • Normalise dimensions beforehand when pages need a uniform appearance.
  • Keep the source images until the PDF has been validated and a higher-quality copy is safely retained.

Limitations to understand

  • There is no OCR, so photographed text cannot be searched or selected.
  • The tool does not add margins, enforce A4 page size or create print bleed.
  • Very large images increase PDF size because there is no dedicated compression pass in this operation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change image order?

Yes. The order visible before processing is the order used to create PDF pages.

Will every page be A4?

Not necessarily. Each page uses its image width and height. Normalise images first when a consistent physical format is required.

Will text in a photograph be recognised?

No. This operation preserves the image. Editable text requires OCR and a review of any recognition errors.
